Epoxy materials production launch
The increase of Kazakh content, and the construction and modernization of enterprises are the main trends of the country's industrialization processes, which are supported on both the government level and by manufacturers themselves.
Thus, on October 5 in Astana, epoxy materials production was launched at the BASF Central Asia plant. In terms of the production, this means an expansion of the existing range of Master Builders Solutions products – MasterFlow, MasterBrace, MasterProtect, MasterTop – for construction projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan, better import substitution, and better availability of European-quality materials at local prices.
The plant in Astana will produce commercial and industrial flooring, repair and protective materials for concrete, grout with a high chemical resistance, water resistance and abrasion resistance.
BASF Central Asia products are certified in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and EN 13813:2002, EN 1504-4, EN 1504-6 European standards. The latest devices from European manufacturers are used in the quality control process for all materials produced. Previously, these products were imported from Europe, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, so their production in Astana will significantly reduce logistics costs.
BASF Central Asia products were used in the construction of large-scale projects such as EXPO 2017, Nazarbayev University, Khan Shatyr, the Mass Media center, the House of the Government, the House of the Parliament, the Supreme Court Building, the Kashagan project, the underground line in Almaty, the new terminal of the Astana airport, the Western Europe-Western China highway, and the Talimardzhanskoi CHPP expansion project, etc.
